Windows Mobile WVGA Game Review - SPB Quads Puzzle Action the Way You Want It

SPB Quads is the full grown version of a mini game that SPB has put in another game before. You can find this game in the brain-fusing title called SPB Brain Evolution. In SPB Brain Evolution there is a game called 'quadronica' which is a game that has the same rules as SPB Quad but lacks the lush graphics and smooth game play.

The game features a couple of modes that you can play. These modes are called 'Time Quad' and "Ever Quad' respectively. As the name already suggests Time Quad is a time based game where you battle against the clock to collect a set amount of points before the clock runs out. When you complete the goal the game will increase it's difficulty and you move on to the next level where you can collect more points. The Ever Quad mode let's you find patterns until you are fed up with it and quit the game to continue later on or start a new game in any of the game modes

The WVGA compatible game features all kinds of bonuses in the form of blocks with certain special abilities that let you blow up big parts of the screen or gives you a hint for the next rectangle to spot. There are also hints for when you get stuck, the game shows you a little animation that suggest a rectangle you can solve if you have been idle for too long.

The graphics of the game look great, I have tested it on different devices including the HTC Touch HD, Touch Pro 2 and the Touch 2 Diamond, all of these are WVGA devices and what I can say about it is that the graphics and animations feel really good at this resolution, while it also runs perfectly smooth on lower resolution devices. While not tested all Windows Mobile resolutions used in smartphones these days, it should work on all of them. The quality of the game sounds and music is also great, not perfect but great. The music kind of hums in the background and sets the mood for fast paced puzzling pleasure.

SPB Quads is a great game for it's cost ($9.99). If you enjoy puzzle games you will probably spend a lot of time on this game, and the cost compared to the hours of fun you could get out of it is quite low. However if you enjoy brain games and don't care too much about graphics and sound quality you could go for SPB Brain Evolution 2.0 which includes this game in a smaller form and many others.

Let's hope this trend of quality games continues for Windows Mobile also with the Windows Mobile marketplace coming to a close release date, it would be great if users of these devices could start to enjoy higher quality games sooner rather then later. Compared to a year ago many WVGA compatible games are coming out and Windows Mobile users are finally getting some entertainment brought to them.

Flight Pro Simulator - An Honest Review of This Flight Sim

There are many flight simulators that have come on the scene in the past years, some good and some are really bad. I have tried many of them, but the best one I have found is Flight Pro Simulator. I have many reasons for stating this, so lets talk about them below.

The first thing that I liked about this flight simulator is the 3D cockpit views. It is very realistic and you can control everything from raising the planes wheels to using the air brakes.

Next was the all of the realistic controls. They act just like the real instruments on an actual plane. There is real life lag, the gyro drift is very accurate and the magnetics compass works with the planes body forces. All of these things that make flying a real aircraft are mimicked in Flight Pro Simulator.

There are many different aircrafts to choose from with Flight Pro Simulator. You can choose from a variety of military jets, a 747, A320, many light singles, the Wright Brothers first plane, helicopters and strange flapping wing ornithopters.

Another reason I can give a good review of Flight Pro Simulator is all the different airports that you can land at around the world. Just pick any airport and you can land there. Although this is an extra add on feature to the game, it is so well worth the extra expense.

The scenery that comes with this software is quite amazing. It is very realistic and all the ground features look so darn real, it felt like I was really flying over them.

One last important thing about this software is it will play on just about any pc. There are just moderate computer requirements for it to work properly. So if you have an older pc that runs WIN 95, you should be fine.

There are many other great features to Flight Pro Simulator, but too many to mention here.

After looking at all of the different flight plane simulators Flight Pro Simulator was the one that had everything I was looking for. It had many different types of planes to fly and land. You could pick any airport from around the world and land there too.

It even had the option to play online with other players from around the world. You could even fly in formation with these other people, how crazy is that. When flying your plane it is very life like and you feel like you are really in the cockpit. The scenery is fantastic and I can't say enough about this amazing software.

For a more in depth review of Flight Pro Sim visit: Flight Pro Simulator. I hope you will enjoy this software as much as I have.

WET Xbox 360 Game (Cert 18)

It's clear that someone from Artificial Mind and Movement wants to be Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez, as their Xbox 360 game, WET, is dripping with inspiration from the Grindhouse style. This certainly sets it aside in the market this fall with its dark and dirty style from the polished Sci-Fi environment of Halo: ODST and the war torn lands of Call of Duty. You play the foxy female assassin Rubi Malone, a modern day cowboy packing pistols along with a fouler mouth than Joe Pesci to boot.

As the voluptuous vixen Rubi, you are forced to play with the big boys; the crime lords and the drug barons. You take on these over the top villains in an array of urban environments and unbelievable action sequences. The gameplay draws from the all-too-famous Max Payne with a heavy use of bullet time as you slide, dodge, flip and bend in ways I didn't think were possible. There is a multiplayer that stacks up your kills in an almost arcade like fashion, awarding extra points for fluid gameplay. The story is similar to a B-movie in style with over the top action and cliched dialogue. It is a classic tale of revenge and double crossing, with Rubi proving that Hell really has no furry like a woman scorned.

The gameplay unfortunately has a few faults that really hamper it from becoming a great title. From start to end there is very little that alters the gameplay to that great of an extent and hampers the game's re-playability. The game does offer some variety to keep the player from gravitating to bored with quick time levels and the new "Rage Mode". It is within these sections that the Xbox 360 audio really stands out, which is superb.

It is a shame that there is such a lack of alteration in gameplay as it will be only be the lovers of the title's unique artistic style that will return to it. Add to that the game has a cert 18 rating of for just cause. This is perhaps because this title has been treated as more of an interactive movie rather than that of a video game. So on that note I would recommend this to fans of Mr. Tarantino who would appreciate it on that level. For the casual gamer on the other hand, it unfortunately isn't worth the full high street price according to Colan Belshaw, but certainly something you should pick up cheap in a sale.

To see what other good Xbox 360 games for over 15 years of age visit Game Stock. As for hardware, I'd recommend an Xbox 360 Elite Console bought cheap online.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2

The second installment in the Vegas series sees the now famous Rainbow Six team head back to Sin City for another round of terrorist thwarting action. While it might not be a completely new experience for many 360 gamers, it's been updated and polished enough to warrant a welcome return.

The Vegas series is a mixture of third and first person action set within the bright lights and seedy streets of Las Vegas. The game is essentially a tactical shooter that uses a squad management system to provide an experience that's both full of action and reliant on implementing a good strategy.

Normally we'd mention the plot to introduce the game, but the single player storyline offered in Vegas 2 is barely worth talking about. Much like the original game, the story mode serves more as a six hour tutorial and introduction to the online game than as a serious effort for solo gamers. You will find a variety of reasons to go shoot terrorists in various Vegas venues, but no narrative that's comparable to Tom Clancy's writing, or even most other 360 games.

Luckily the lack of story doesn't make the single player a totally pointless effort. The AI is absolutely top notch and the level design is brilliant. The experience system -- which allows you to unlock different goodies in both single player and multiplayer -- makes continued play more rewarding. Newcomers will find the controls a little alien at first but players are introduced gradually and once you've figured out how everything works, it's actually very intuitive.

Of course, the real appeal of Vegas 2 is on XBOX Live. The game doesn't disappoint in this area offering a full section of different game types and maps to enjoy that will extend the lifespan of the game indefinitely. At the time of writing, the Vegas community is still very active online, not least because it's the only tactical shooter out for the system. Due to the plot and strategic element of the game, the community is also more mature than you'll find in games like Halo or Gears of War.

Graphically, the game is a little repetitive in places and features some rather flat textures, but overall captures the gaudy feel of Las Vegas to brilliant effect. Characters and animations are top notch as are most of the graphical effects, all of which occur without any slowdown at all. If you've played the original game however, you'll notice that there hasn't been much in the way of new graphical features added between versions.

Tom Clancy games have been well known in the past for sacrificing fun for a realistic portrayal of the action. The Vegas series has changed all that and marks the point where the Rainbow Six name finds a perfect balance between realism and pure enjoyment. If you're looking for a deep single player experience, Vegas 2 is both short and slightly unfulfilling. However, if you're a Live gamer, you owe it to yourself to try out one of the most popular games for the system.

Star Wars Battlefront Review For the PSP

An exclusive game designed for Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP), the 3rd entry was named 'Renegade Squadron' and released in October 2007. The name refers to the covert operations unit of the Rebel Alliance in the Star Wars series, though there is no reference to this particular unit ever before.

Han Solo had initiated the formation of the Renegade Squadron and the campaign follows it exploits till the time it is disbanded. The game allows multiplayer modes and unlike previous titles of the Star Wars series, players in this particular game can build up their character rather than be representative of a class. The game is superior to earlier episodes, but reviews found the single player campaign inadequate and reactions to the graphics and controls were mixed.

Like previous games in the series, this too is a war game played out in the third person, the action taking place in space and on the ground. The intention of the player is to capture territory and command posts, of which there are a specific number per map. Soldiers can re-spawn after death in battle, but that uses up a ticket (of which there are a specific number) each time, so the player has to be careful. The winner has to capture all the command posts and / or reduce opponent's ticket count to zero. The character can change character, weapons, etc at each respawning or when at a command post and can use up to 100 credits to purchase weapons and other equipment. Characters in this game do not fall into any class and instead, keeps evolving. A new feature is that the character can enter asteroid belts and earn medals for achieving predetermined objectives.

Galactic conquest, campaign and instant action are the 3 options for single play. In campaign, the player starts a mission with different sets of objectives. In instant action, players pit themselves against computer controlled warriors. Galactic conquest, on the other hand is similar to a turn-based board game like 'Risk', only here planets generate the revenue! Reviews found the single play options too short.

The multiplayer option for Renegade Squadron allows 8 person matches when players are physically close to each other or up to 16 players through Wi-Fi internet connections. For both these, the game types are capture the flag or conquest. Reviewers were mostly pleased with the multiplayer format and suggested that to be the best part of the gaming experience.

Altogether, this particular game scored better than average on most important review lists and remained in the top seller lists in a number of countries for some months after its initial release. Renegade Squadron also featured as one of the greatest hits series released by Sony.

Nowadays original games are also being put up at discounted prices so that more people opt for them. You can keep an eye on such releases to get the best out of them.

Compare prices of original video games on different online stores, because different stores quote different prices and discount labels. You can run a search on Google to find out the comparison in prices of your game in different websites. This way you can hit a big deal.

If you opt for purchase through online stores, keep in mind the shipping costs that add up to your purchase price. There are some stores which provide free shipping on bulk purchase or even discounts and coupons on your purchases.

Resident Evil Boss Ten and Eleven

In this article I am going to reveal how to destroy boss ten and eleven on resident evil. Most people seem to get stuck on this last boss, so I am going to tell you how I managed to do it.

Step one is you need to hit the lights! There are three levers that you need to hit so run toward the south east and pull that one first followed by the one to the north and finally south west.

You may have noticed that there is a rocket propelled grenade launcher behind some glass so get that and shoot the boss. He will catch the grenade so what you need to do is take out another weapon and shoot the grenade which will stun him.

You should now hold him and get your partner to inject him. You might need to repeat this a few times and he will also try to turn the lights back on so make sure all lights are turned off before you launch a grenade at him again.

Next part you should run up the hill and shoot the orange part on his back. He will go mad at the girl so if you are Chris then run down the path to the boulder or if you are the girl then run to Chris and run back to the higher area and shoot that fool aiming for the orange part. You will also get a check point around here somewhere.

Keep your distance and he should not be able to easily get you.

He will go down if you keep at him like this.

I hope this article has been useful and helped to answer your question.

Flash Gaming Reviews - Frontier by Armor Games

I have recently come across an amazing game called Frontier. Frontier is made by Armor Games. Frontier is a strategy based game that includes money, war, and starting a war against another town.

When you first start Frontier you are a lonely traveling merchant, set on making money. As you start the game you start in a town, each town containing resources. To travel you have to go to the Travel tab, and here is where the fun starts, the prices of resources are almost all different in each town, which is how you merchant these "resources" and bring in an income. As you travel between towns you make a journey towards the next town, which displays a side-scrolling type animation, while traveling you will encounter boxes (Usually containing items or money), the enforcers (Police force), helpless people (You get the choice to help him or rob him), buccaneers (Bad guys), and the harmless merchantmen.

Along with all the resources you get, there are some that are illegal of course, these items usually come with a bigger profit then normal, the only problem with this is the enforcers will be after you, when you come to an enforcer(s) you will either have the option to battle (fight), flee, or have him search you (in which they will take away your illegal goods, if you have them of course). When you come across a party of buccaneers they will show no mercy, either you can fight them, flee (Usually unsuccessful), or surrender (in which you give up some of your precious resources, usually making you lose money). When you come across a group of merchantmen they are harmless, and usually you will just pass them by. And of course, when you arrive outside of the town, you can choose to take the town for your own (Battle the town), in which requires a bigger crew.

Through the game you will go through different towns each containing people who you can hire to work for you, as long as you have a vehicle that can sustain another person. Another tricky part about the game is joining a guild (Optional), you can either join the Enforcers or the buccaneers, when you join the enforcers you will no longer have to worry about the illegal goods problem, but the buccaneers will be heavy on your tail, and if you join the buccaneer guild, you wont have to worry about the buccaneers but the enforcers will be on your tail even more. As you acquire money you can purchase upgraded vehicles, weapons, armor, and people.

This game takes a bit to get the hang of, but once you do, you wont be able to stop until you are the richest man in all of Frontier.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Star Wars - The Force Unleashed

Star Wars games have made countless appearances on home consoles and arcades in the last thirty years. They've been of various qualities, from the amazing Rebel Assault 2 and Jedi Knight to the rather terrible last gen games based off the new license. Is Unleashed one of the duds or is it actually worth the purchase?

First things first. Unleashed is really only enjoyable if you're a Star Wars fan. Unlike previous original XBOX games like Knights of the old republic and Battlegrounds which were serviceable games in their own rights, Unleashed really does only work as a Star Wars game designed for the Star Wars fans. You can't really fault the game for that, but it's worth noting.

The fan service involves more than just throwing in Vader and some force powers however. The story of the game is available in a full sized novel which should say more than enough about the quality of the plot. The game fills in some major gaps between the end of the original trilogy and episode I. There are two good things about that - firstly, there's a great mix of both new and old characters due to the settings. More importantly though, the game is canon. It's not just some contrived plot invented by a game studio - it's got the George Lucas seal of approval.

This fact alone should be enough for most Star Wars fans to run out and purchase the game right now. For the rest of us, there are a few more things to touch on before you consider a full purchase, and not all of them are quite as good.

Unleashed follows a successful formula. It combines force powers with a plot that focuses on using them as much as possible rather than something reserved for special occasions. For the first few hours, picking up hapless storm troopers and throwing them off various bridges and massive holes in spaceships is good, clean fun. However, it gets old quicker than it should due to a lack of imagination on behalf of the level design. Soon you'll just go back to using your trusty lightsaber because it's quicker and easier, even if not quite as pretty.

Not all of the levels are bad, and unsurprisingly those based on scenes already familiar to fans are the most entertaining. The spaceship levels lack the vibrant graphical flair of the outside portions of the game though, and there's only so long you can spend in various spaceships before you start to long for something a little more exciting.

The game is also quite buggy. There are plenty of occasions during play where enemies have failed to move or glitched into a wall. Plenty of players have reported bugs that have forced them to reset their systems mid level.

All this considered however, Unleashed isn't a bad game. The hordes of enemies thrown at you make for some truly interesting fights and when set pieces are done well. Towards the end of the game, they really shine. If you're a Star Wars fan and don't mind working through the occasional glitch it's a more than worthwhile experience, even if you only play for the story.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Resident Evil 5

Love it or hate it, the one thing you can't blame the Resident Evil series for is a lack of willingness to experiment and expand with the times. After a couple of rather dry sequels, RE4's announcement that the game wouldn't feature any 'true' zombies made a lot of long term fans quite upset. Despite all of the odds, the game actually turned about to be an excellent example of modern survival horror, providing you didn't play it on the Wii or PC.

Resident Evil 5 is set in Africa, somewhat of a unique location as far as the undead are concerned. You play as Chris Redfield chasing a threat of bio-terrorism on the continent which, no surprise, turns people into various types of undead. The plot itself is interesting enough, especially if you're already a fan of the series. If you've never played a Resident Evil game before you can still follow everything with relative ease, although there are a couple of things that might go over your head.

The fifth game in the series (If you want to go by the conventional numbering at least - It's actually more like the ninth) isn't quite as much of a departure from the fourth, but there are still a few new mechanics thrown in. It also features the least 'zombified' bad guys yet. There's still some level of shambling undead but there's a lot more enemies that are faster and more dynamic in their movement and attacks than before.

The over major change is that you've got a friend along for the ride in the form of AI controlled Sheva Alomar, a young African woman who fights alongside you for most of the game. If the thought of an AI controlled companion scares you, Sheva can be controlled by a friend in the games very polished co-op mode - a very welcome addition in a genre that hasn't exactly embraced many multiplayer modes.

Resident Evil 5 is a mixture of puzzle, adventure and action elements, although it's generally more focused on the latter. If you've never played a Resident Evil game before, the fifth installment falls somewhere in-between an all out action game and a more brooding dark horror game like Deadspace. If you're looking for a game that focuses purely on horror using atmosphere and pacing, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. For everyone else though, RE5 is competent if not ground breaking addition to the genre.

The biggest let down is the games AI, which varies from being nearly competent to incredibly annoying. Your AI controlled friend has a tendency to shoot needlessly at just about anything that moves, wasting an incredibly amount of ammo in a game where ammo is already scarce. She also has a tendency to heal you at the worst possible time, wasting valuable resources. It doesn't help that the games inventory management and control options are quite limited in scope.

RE5 might not be the pinnacle of the series but it's another step forward in experimenting with next generation consoles. It's not for everyone - the puzzle and inventory elements will frustrate those who are used to straight action games. However, it does plenty to please fans of the series while being solid enough to recommend to newcomers, especially those who are likely to play through the game on Xbox Live instead of the AI companion.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Fable II

It has been a long time since the first Fable hit the original XBOX scene after months and months of hype. It was going to bring about fundamental changes to how we treated RPGs and challenge the very idea of morality in video games, giving the player a sense of choice that had never been seen before. Unfortunately, while Fable was an engaging RPG in its own right, it wasn't the landmark gaming experience that people had been hoping for and it shrank into gaming history, overshadowed by more popular XBOX RPGs such as Knights of the Old Republic.

Fable 2 is now out and looking to take back some of that pride the original game lost. Choice might still be a simple case of good and evil but it's clear only a few minutes into Fable 2's charming and oddly touching introduction that you can tell the game really has been improved in just about every sense.

Fable 2 is set in the same world as its predecessor -the fantasy realm of Albion. There's no recycling of old areas though, the landscape has changed quite considerably since the original outing. It is set many years in the future and the world's people have forgotten all about the events of the first game, allowing you to start with a clean slate. Thankfully, the world has lost none of its unique charm and all the quirky villages, weird citizens and hilarious voice acting have returned for the sequel.

For those who never got a chance to play the original, the game is an action RPG based around a 'hero' mechanic. Every action you take in the game gives you a certain amount of reputation allowing you to create a good or evil character. Depending on your choice, new quests will open up and villagers will respond to your in different ways. Fable 2 is a game that constantly asks you to make choices and then live with your actions.

This all works very well to a point. Just like Fable and almost every other RPG before it, there isn't actually a real way to play a truly evil character and still complete the main quest. Sure, you can choose to be selfish and arrogant in some cases, but while you can quite happily walk into a town and kill everybody, there isn't really any point in terms of the game plot. There are at least some excellent side quests available for evil characters as well as others that present morale choices that aren't just a matter of black and white.

Carrying the plot and roleplaying elements is an adequate - though not amazing - combat system that allows you to choose between ranged, melee and magic attacks depending on how you level your character. There's not exactly much strategy involved other than making sure you carry enough health potions and choose the right spell for the occasion, but then as an action RPG, combat strategy was never going to be a large focus.

It might still not live up to what the original promised in every aspect, but Fable 2 does offer an incredibly solid RPG experience on the 360 that offers a sense of originality that many of its Japanese competition lack.

Mario Kart Wii Review

One of the best games that I've ever played for the Nintendo Wii is Mario Kart Wii. This is an extremely fun, addicting game that just about anyone could learn to play and love. I'm not joking when I say that my grandfather came over and played this game, and won his first race! It was on the easy level, but still, it goes to show just how easy it is to pick something up like this.

Mario Kart Wii is a truly special game. It takes a classic format that achieved great success on the N64 and the Super Nintendo, and transposes it to the Wii, taking full advantage of the motion sensing controls.

Basically, you're given a wheel to plug your remote into, which allows you to wirelessly steer your driver during every race. This is an extremely accurate wheel, and it genuinely turns exactly as you do as you're turning the wheel.

The boards are fast paced and the tracks are extremely competitive and fun. Perhaps my favorite thing about the game is the online play mode. This allows you to race against up to 11 other racers from all around the world, playing against them and earning points as you win, or losing them as you lose. This quickly lets you see how you stack up compared to the many other drivers playing this game.

If you own a Wii, I'd seriously recommend checking this game out. I haven't really put it down since I bought it.

Uncharted 2 - Greatest Experience Yet, Better Then Most Movies

Gaming has come a long, long way. I still remember being blown away by games like Final Fight and Super Mario World on the SNES. Back then, games were fun and the graphics were breathtaking for its time. Never in a million years would I imagine the pure insanity of games today. (Minor spoiler alert) Never would I have imagined games like Uncharted 2 where the main character starts off struggling for dear life on a train about to fall off a cliff in a snow blizzard. This is insanity at its finest. Its like reading a novel or picture book because it feels beyond the simple concept of video gaming.

Uncharted 2, from start to finish was a blast. It follows the main character, Nathan Drake, as he tries to unfold Marco Polo's lost treasure fleet, but the adventure becomes much more complex and ends up taking the cast half way around the world. The story telling is superb with some of the greatest voice acting heard in a video game. The graphics is such eye candy, you feel like your watching an advance movie or looking at an insanely detailed picture book.

Of course there is multiplayer and co-op modes to chew on, which gives the gamer something better to look forward too after they complete the game. On top of that, there's plenty of secrets and Easter eggs to be unlocked after the game is completed. Overall the game is fantastic, even if you haven't played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will blow you away. The character Nathan Drake is an obvious cross between Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. He has a particular style about him that gives him an alpha male look. He's a charming man with a one liner joke for every situation. His co-stars Cloe and Elena play big roles in this game as well and you will see them fight by your side as you travel to uncover the secrets of Marco Polo. The developers - Naughty Dog - made this game particularly easier then the first game, so normal mode does feel a tad like a walk in the park. Other modes such as hard and crushing give you somewhat of a challenge but not by much. The scenery in the game is breathtaking and with full 1080p, the game looks absolutely gorgeous when you play it. I recommend this game to anyone looking for a great adventure game and it's absolutely one game you will be playing for years.

The RC Flight Simulator - Virtual Training Programme

Flight simulators are some of the best computer games ever created. It is so close to the real world that anybody can easily get confused between the real and the virtual. They are very popular and thousands of aviation enthusiasts use it for their entertainment or professional purposes. The RC flight simulator is also used for training purposes.

The RC became popular and was introduced on the PCs in late 1980s. At that time, there were very limited features and also they did not look very real. This simulator was based on the computer graphics and thus did not look real at all. It was just like any other ordinary computer game. But as the time passed by, there was rapid improvement in the PCs as well as the flight simulators, and they were transformed in a very realistic flight simulator that could now be used for training purposes and was given the radio control system to make it more real like and adventurous for the pilot.

With the time, several drastic changes and developments have been made and various more controls and features have been added to the RC flight simulator. This simulator is being extensively used by millions on their PC. It is important to note that every good RC consists of a totally real like transmitter interface and also very strong software. Not only this, there are more sceneries available for choice and also many more airports have been added.

The RC flight simulator has some best aircrafts models that you can choose from. It could be a helicopter, glider or turbine jets. There is a range of add-ons available with proper documentation. In addition to all the extra feature, a good RC usually features a virtual flight school where a new pilot can get trained by the professionals and learn to fly an aircraft with the help of 3D maneuvers.

Rest assured, I have tested out nearly every Flight Sim on the market today, and I have found one which I can personally recommend.

Stop wasting your money and time on disappointing flight simulators.

I have put them all through the test and after hundreds of hours flying I have finally found a winner and I can guarantee it will be the closest you will get to a Real Life Flying experience without actually leaving your house.

My Own Experience With Prototype

I have just completed the new game Prototype so thought I would post a brief synopsis for other users who are thinking of buying this game. I would definitely recommend it.

Story:

Alex is the main character that you play who has been infected by a virus that is also spreading around Manhattan. Alex is desperate to discover why and how he has been infected and the way that the truth is revealed is a clever one to say the least.

When you hunt down certain people in the city and consume their body mass you get a flashback of their memories which gradually reveal what happened to Alex.

Game play:

The virus Alex is infected with gives him the power to shape shift allowing you to run up walls, glide and produce an array of weapons from your arms such as claws, whips and blades as well as shields and night vision.

The amount of offensive and defensive powers increases as the game progresses and if you consume certain military personnel then you gain control of some vehicles which can be fun.

The game is also my favourite style which is free roam around the city of Manhattan.

Summary:

I thought the game was brilliant. The graphics I have seen better and the missions can be slightly repetitive but apart from that it should keep you entertained for months. There is plenty to do and enough side missions and extras to keep you interested even after you finish the game. Once you have finished the game then you can start it again with all your upgrades from the previous game.

I would give this an eight out of ten.

I hope this article has been useful and helped to answer your question.

Gran Turismo PSP Review

It was announced with the launch of the PSP and it came out with the launch of the PSP Go. This fact means it has been in production for over four years. But as the developer mentioned it has been an on/off project and one may wonder if this has done the game any good.

The gameplay

You start with a highly simplified menu with that gives you the option to do a race, go to a car dealer, watch cutscenes and replays, do license tests, and tune your car. The menu works pretty well and we immediately started a few races to get some credits in the bank. You can do time trails, drift races and quick races with laps up to 99. There're about 35 tracks to choose from and once purchased 800 cars to select, but most of those cars are pretty similar. There're over 20 Nissans skylines and just 2 Ferraris for instance. But things get better once you're behind the wheel. Because the driving is great. Put the physics on professional and you'll really feel the cars slide, on top of that there's a great difference between the cars. The Lotus elise is very unstable and twitchy while the Bugatti Veyron suffers from slight understeer. With different views including cockpit view you should be able to get comfortable quite quickly. Licenses are also worth attempting. Here you do small tests like get through sector 2 of Suzuka in 43 seconds and so on. Some of these tests are pretty hard but generally they're fun to do and good for your credit count. Taking everything in consideration your objective in this game is to get as much credits as you can to purchase more cars that you can test in the same limited game modes.

Presentation

The game looks good for a PSP game. Tracks are pretty detailed and the cars, especially in replays look top notch. We did notice some white lines horizontally across the track surface, a problem that seems to be game related. The sound is great. Engines really sound good. Most cars have an unique engine sound though we think some are copied but that's fully acceptable. Soundtrack wise this game hits it spot on. Out of the box you get a hand full of songs including crowd favorite just one second known from the Ferrari 458 italia tribute video. We talked about the cockpit view earlier but it's not as great as you might think. The interior is all blacked out. Basically all you're seeing is a black shape with two mirrors. It has been added pretty last minute we feel and of course the PSP can do just so much. Still it's running at 60 fps and looks better than most racing games on the system so we're not finding all this a major issue.

Gran Turismo is a game where you try to collect them all. It gives you limited game modes to do so, and the presentation isn't as good as we initially hoped. The variation in the cars is another thing we didn't like. But the physics are great so this is a must have for simulation fans, just not for anyone else.

Video Game Review - Ghostbusters Xbox 360

The two Ghostbusters films that were released in the 1980s were massively successful, bringing in millions of dollars. They also caused Ghostbusters to become an iconic piece of popular culture. Comic books, television series, action figures and video games were created around this franchise. Twelve Ghostbusters video games have been released. The original was released in 1984. The most recent game came out this year and has been well-received by the public and video game critics. The game has currently sold over one million copies. Let me discuss why this game has done so well.

Many of us grew up with the Ghostbusters franchise. Just like you, I remember loving the movies, the cartoons and playing with toys. Once I heard that Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis were writing the script for the new video game, I was very excited to see the finished product. I'm glad to say that this game has been well worth the wait.

First, let's talk about the story. This game picks up in 1991, after the most recent sequel. The story revisits many familiar characters, including Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. All of the actors from the two films reprise their roles as the Ghostbusters we have come to know and love. The production values on this game are top notch. It feels as if you are playing through the long-awaited Ghostbusters III. You'll encounter the same music, actors and feel that is present in the two films. This lengthy story should keep you busy for up to 10 hours. It is very satisfying and a wonderful journey every fan should experience.

The sound in this game is great too. Hearing Bill Murray and the rest of the cast reprising their famous roles is a real treat. The humor and chemistry that we all remember is present in this game. The sounds the ghosts and civilians make is also spot-on. The soundtrack to this game is straight out of the films. The sound in this game will truly be music to your ears.

The controls in this game are pretty solid. The learning curve is not very steep at all. The in-game tutorials are very helpful in explaining what each button controls. You should be able to pick up and play this game in no time at all. You'll be able to upgrade your weapons over time and trap ghosts with the best of them. It can become repetitious, but it is fun.

The graphics are quite good. They are vibrant and vivid. They aren't as detailed as Gears of War, but they aren't anything to sneeze at either. The full motion videos, in between gameplay, really show what the graphics engine can do. The environments and character models are well done and will please any Ghostbusters fan.

Should you buy or rent this game? If you aren't a big fan of the movies, you should at least rent this great game. If you are Ghostbusters fan, this game belongs in your video game library.

Try the New Flight Simulator For Great Fun

It has been seen that the flight simulators were developed in the 1980s and were released for the entertainment of the aviation enthusiasts. It was devised for all those who always wanted to enjoy flying an aircraft, be it the combat plane, or a commercial plane or a helicopter. And it can be said with great confidence that the new flight simulator has proved efficient and useful for its users. It has become very popular ever since.

With its continuous popularity, the developers were insisted to make rigorous developments and add more features to make it even more interesting. This is the reason why the new flight simulator has been introduced. They have more advanced technology with a lot more things to offer. It has many beautiful scenery graphics that make the flying even more interesting for the pilot. One new feature that has been introduced is that the pilot can experience flying during the day as well as in the night.

This new flight simulator has many modernised features and the controls. For example, if you look at the cockpit, it almost looks like a real cockpit the moment you sit in it. This is so because, it has a radio through which the pilot can contact the virtual control room and check for his location, he can also communicate with other pilot that make the game very adventurous and exciting.

Apart from this, the new flight simulator has a yoke that functions and controls the aircraft just like the real one does. With the help of it, pilot can change the direction of the flight and also can tilt if for fun. This makes flying more fun and also a pilot gets a chance to show off to others. Therefore, I would suggest all the users to use the new flight simulator, as it is much more entertaining and has lot more adventurous things for the pilots to discover and try themselves.

Uncharted 2 - Among Thieves - An Action Packed Game

The game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves delivers very good graphics and the voice-acting as well as dialogues equal the quality of blockbuster films. The character development and story are certainly exciting and intriguing with each turn and twist as it keeps a firm grip on the controller. Also the game presents an unmatchable power with ease as the character Drake wakes up on a derailed train that hangs off a cliff amidst snow covered mountains.

Also, it takes the players into the depth of Himalayas, magnificent tropical locations, Nepal war-torn streets and gun fights over the train tops that is speeding through scenic countryside. This game presents a twisting story that is long and displays love connections, back stabbing and also past friends reunions. Playing, the first Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is important, as it has characters recurring and several original references.

The characters in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves revolve around Nathan Drake trying to put together the lost mission of Marco Polo, the well-known explorer who left with 600 passengers and 14 ships, and returned with 18 passengers and only one ship. Nathan Drake stumbles across the secret mission of Marco Polo to Shambala while piecing the clues together in the aim of recovering the Cintamani Stone. During this venture, he comes to know that Zorin Lazarevic, a psychotic criminal is also focusing the stone and now it becomes inevitable for Nathan to destroy artifacts before it reaches wrong hands. This new version of the game will please the players as Elena and Sully are returning to assist the new adventures of Nathan.

The development of characters in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is one of the best in the history of video games as it is difficult not to get personally involved with each character. The dialogue style among the characters is well written. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves offers beautiful visual scenes similar to movies or other fine video games. The breathtaking scenery exhibits the perception perfectly and makes every detail even more realistic. Even, small things such as Nathan`s tracks over the snow ice or high buildings, or the wind blowing his hair or rippling water is paid much attention, making this game to appear very realistic.

The advantage of playing the game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is that it features competitive as well as co-operative multiplayer. The multiplayer feature allows the game players to take part of Nathan, Chloe and Sully, while the feature missions involve gunfights and teamwork. The players have to be ready to assist their comrades in case they are injured critically or grabbed by the enemy. Also this game allows the game players to choose their character models such as Sully, Nathan, Chloe, Elena and other new characters. The competitive multiplayer allows ten players maximum to play with each other.

Basically, the controls are the same as original with few twists. The gamers can enjoy walking over fallen logs and can throw grenades without using the SIXAXIS motion controls. It is also easy to clutch the ledges in this version of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves avoiding walking on the edge as the hint button is available on the D-pad. Overall, the game has scored high among the players and has successfully captivated lots of attention.

Is NBA 2k10 the Best Basketball Game of All Time For X Box 360?

If you haven't played any of the NBA games that have been out over the recent years, then you are missing out on some of the greatest games that you could ever play. I am a huge basketball fan but was highly disappointed in the quality of the games that were coming out. It seemed like everything out there had glitches of some kind or the game play as just shall I say "Unreal".

Then comes the NBA 2K series (around 2k7) that changed it all. From custom player attributes, to authentic shooting styles, I can't get enough of these games. Once I started to play it, I was hooked.

This game is also great if you want to challenge friends in a gaming tournament because the graphics are second to none and the game play is as smooth as silk.

Also, with the popularity of Xbox live, you can go on the internet and battle with others from all across the world. I have done this many times and be warned...there are a lot of really good players out there that can beat you! I have played in many games on live that went down to the wire only to have me lose in the end.

This game has many features such as streets and all star games that has the NBA's best on the court so you can play with all of them at once. I really like how real it looks. That is what gets me all the time. Especially if you're playing on a big screen LCD tv. Wow...what a picture!

This gaming platform is expanding greatly and I am happy every time I turn on this game and play it for a couple of hours. It's a wonderful game and the creators should be very proud the NBA 2k franchise. It will remain one of the best basketball games out there until someone comes and takes their thrown, which I am almost possible that is not going to happen.

What Happened to the MVP Baseball Series For Playstation - Will it Ever Come Back?

I remember years ago when I use to play the MVP baseball game for hours, literally I would spend a day on the game because I was so hooked to it. I believe this series started around 2003, and only got better ever since. They were the first one's who really implemented the pitcher and batter technology that you see now in today's video games.

But what happened to them? I always ask myself the same question. After reading some forums I noticed many people want this game back to! They stopped making any more versions after 2005, and I have no idea why. I believe they sold the rights to another company and they began making college baseball. Now college baseball is fun, but it is nothing like the MLB.

Unfortunately it looks like this gaming series is not going to come back anytime soon because it has been years since they took it off the market. Hopefully if they reconsider, they would release it all gaming systems such as xbox360, ps3, etc.

I believe if you like this game, you should try to contact the creators and get them to bring it back out hopefully for 2011, which in fact was a rumor I have been hearing but that's neither here nor there. This game has to come back on the market! There are many good baseball games out right now, such as the show, but none very much like the MVP series.

If you want to play a recent version with players that are in the MLB now, all you have to do is download something called "Mods" and you will have the old graphics but with the updated players. Sure it is not the real thing, but it is as close as we can get right now.

This was the best baseball game for the true baseball fan so if they ever do decide to bring it back; it will be a wonderful and happy day for us avid baseball games!

GTA San Andreas Xbox - How Does the Xbox Version Compare to the PS2?

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, when released on the PlayStation 2 in October 2004 became the fastest ever selling game in the UK, and matched a similar feat in the USA. Now you can get the GTA San Andreas Xbox version that many fans thought would never happen (released in June of 2005), and I can proudly say that it doesn't disappoint. However, if you don't have an Xbox, and you still want to play San Andreas, you can download a GTA San Andreas Xbox 360 version straight onto your Xbox 360 (as of November 2008).

One of the major improvements of the GTA San Andreas Xbox version is that you can customise your own radio station, but uploading MP3's onto your Xbox's hard-drive, and then into the game. This might not sound like much, but as you'll be spending so much of your time driving around in cars and on bikes, you'll get sick of the standard radio stations pretty soon. So for those that haven't previously played the game, does it live up to the hype?

The storyline is unlike any other GTA game of the past, as you play a gang member named 'CJ', who has returned to the gang world after the death of his mother. As you start doing missions for local people, your reputation grows, and you can start going to other parts of the state. Most of the missions are great fun, and are very rewarding.

The great thing about being in a gang like this is that you can always steal a car, go round up a few of your gang member, then go on a rampage and attack enemy gangs. This is even better when you get into 'turf wars', where you must fight off an entire section of a gang in order to claim that area as your own.

The gameplay is absolutely brilliant, and very in-depth, as you can change to look of your character to however you like via clothing stores, or you can make them bigger and stronger by working out at the gym. Overall, this is a great game, and still holds its own despite Gran Theft Auto 4 being released.
9/10.
